Reverse-Pulse Catridge Filter Dust Collectors.
| Operating Principle |
The cartridges are cleaned by a short burst of
compressed air injected through a common manifold over a row
of cartridges. Due to its pleated design, the total filtering
surface area is greater than in a conventional bag of the same
diameter, resulting in reduced air to cloth ratio, pressure
drop, and overall collector size. |

continuous production environments and are ideal for fine and
dry dusts. |

The bags are cleaned by a short burst of compressed

Shaker-Filter
Dust Collectors (Bag & Envelope Filters)
Polex offers a large range of Shaker-Filter Dust
Collectors with both Tubular Bag Filters and Envelope Filters.
| Operating Principle |
Cleaning is accomplished by a vibrating motor
shaking the frame from which the filters are suspended for a
preset time. The vibration produced shakes off the dust cake.
The extraction fan must be off for the shaker cleaning cycle
to commence. |

Shaker systems are suited to applications with
intermittent operation cleaning. No compressed air is required
for these systems. |

Reverse-Flow
Dust Collectors (Bag Filters)
Polex supplies an extensive range of Reverse-Flow
Bag Filter Dust Collectors.
| Operating Principle |
Filter bags are cleaned by injecting clean air
into the dust collector in a reverse direction, which pressurises
the compartment. The pressure causes the filter bags to partially
collapse, resulting in the dust cake cracking and falling into
the hopper below. |
| Production Environment |
Reverse-Flow systems are suited to intermittent
operation to permit regular cleaning. They can also be compartmentalised
to allow continuous operation. No compressed air is required
for these systems. More substantial cleaning is achieved relative
to shaker-filters. |

Booths
Polex designs and manufactures both Wet and Dry
spray booths for a variety of spraying applications. All systems
are manufactured according to the requirements of Australian Standard
AS4114. Sizes start from 1m wide.
 Fume
Arms
Polex offers a large standard range of Fume Arms.
Sizes start from 50mm diameter for small soldering applications,
up to 200mm diameter for large industrial applications.
 Rotary
Valves
Polex supplies an extensive range of Rotary-Valves.
Many sizes are available ex-stock. Sizes range from 240 x 240mm
up to 800 x 800mm.
 Fans
Polex can supply fans to suit a wide variety
of applications. A large range of fan types are available, e.g.
Axial, centrifugal, roof, portable and many others. Sizes start
from 0.37kW. Stainless Steel versions can be supplied on request.
Polex also offers acoustic cladding, enclosures and silencers.
 Rigid
Ducting
Polex can supply modular and heavy-duty fabricated
ducting. We can supply in Galvanised, stainless-steel or mild-steel.
Polex can also design and supply hoods and many other sheet metal
products. Several products are available for immediate delivery.
 Flexible
Ducting
Polex supplies flexible ducting for a wide range
of applications. Sizes range from 38mm diameter for small vacuum
applications up to 610mm diameter for high air volume. Many types
and sizes are available ex-stock.
 Spare
Parts
Spare cartridge-filters and bag-filters are available
from Polex to suit a large range of dust collectors. They can be
supplied in different materials to suit the specific application.
Polex also supplies valves and other dust collector consumables.
